Behringer designed the VMX100 for those of you who need a compact, straight ahead DJ mixer but don't want to sacrifice either important performance features or audio quality. To that end, even the smallest VMX is equipped with an automatic, intelligent BPM counter with Tempo Difference and Time Offset displays plus Sync Lock and Beat Assist functions, as well as their new dual rail Ultraglide crossfader with a 2 way curve control switch. Feature:
There is a BPM counter, but it isn't that efficient. It just becomes a nuisance with all of its different counts that appear for one track.

Sound:
If you try to use this on a powerful sound system, it will not be very useful on account of the very annoying and loud buzzing noise that it will have coming out of the speakers. Otherwise, if you just want to learn how to mix and blend on, say, your mini-stereo or some other stereo speakers then spend the $80 and enjoy.

Overall:
Overall this is a good mixer--easy controls and compact. It won't suite your needs if you use it to DJ a party, on account of the low strength and ability of the mixer to perform with large or powerful sound systems. Otherwise, if you just want to learn how to mix and blend on, say, your mini-stereo or some other stereo speakers then spend the $80 and enjoy.
