The Behringer Composer Pro has become the industry standard compressor for numerous applications. Today, you'll find stacks of Composer Pros in the racks of professional touring companies as well as in leading studios the world over. Now there's a device that combines the Composer's famous interactive concept with modern tube technology the Tube Composer T1952. Sound: I have this unit in my home studio and have had both good and bad experiences with it. The unit does what it is supposed to do and do it well. Te only problem is that because it is so cheap, the manufacturing quality does not hold up to the rigors of the studio. Just the other day I was transfering some audio tapes unto CD and I had the unit between the tape player and the CD recorder. Channel #2 kept cutting off. I ruined 3 to 4 cd's doing this trick. I finally took the unit out of the chain and ran the tape player directly to the CD recorder. I really wanted to use the unit for the transfer as it lets me get very loud levels unto cd, but it is too unreliable. It does the same thing when I'm multitracking. You never know when it's going to start acting up. Next time, I'll get a Joe Meek or a DBX.
